Drilling and test pits are often used during a Phase II investigation of a site to test the soil for possible contamination identified during a Phase I site investigation. We commonly assist our clients in performing Phase II investigations. Typically, soil borings are advanced and samples are collected so the site developer or environmental consultant better understands what work is needed before construction begins or a real estate transaction takes place.
